One-day All India Seminar on the theme “Advances in Agricultural Technology and Their Current Application Scenario” was organized by the Institution of Engineers (India), Rourkela Local Centre on 19th September, 2024 at A.N. Patel Memorial Seminar Hall, Local Centre Building, NIT Campus, Rourkela. Dr. Nutan Kumar Dash, Vice-President, the Institution of Engineers (India) was the Chief Guest. Er. Sudip Pal Chowdhury, Chief General Manager, I/c., Projects, SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant was the Guest of Honour. Er. Chowdhury told on the various aspect for the development of the agrecultural field. In the Inaugural Session, Er. Santosh Kumar Polaki, Chairman, the Institution of Engineers (India), Rourkela Local Centre gave a welcome address and briefly spoke about the latest developments in Agricultural Technologies.
The Introduction of the theme was presented by the Convenors of the Seminar Prof. Rama Chandra Pradhan and Prof. Madhuresh Dwivedi. They told about the essential requirement of advanced equipments for the efficient food production. Thereafter, Souvenirs of the Seminar were released by the Chief Guest Dr. Nutan Kumar Dash. The Inaugural Function ended with felicitation of dignitaries on the dais. The Honorary Secretary of IEI, Rourkela, Dr. Ajit Behera, gave vote of thanks to all the members, guests and students those attended the function. In this seminar, two keynote speaker and ten technical papers were presented that were bearing on the central theme of the seminar. The technical sessions were evaluated by eminent experts in the related field. In the concluding session, many recommendations and suggestions emerged from discussions covering various sub-themes of “Advances in Agricultural Technology and Their Current Application Scenario”.
