A one day national Seminar on the theme “Young Mind in Engineering for National Development” was organised by the Institution of Engineers (India), Rourkela Local Centre on 12th January, 2024 (Friday) at 07.00 pm on the occasion of National Youth Day. Er. Abhaya Singh, Director, Tarini Steel Pvt. Ltd. and HiTech Metaflux Pvt. Ltd. was the Chief Guest. The Chairman Er. Santosh Kumar Polaki welcomed members and guests. The Honorary Secretary and Convener of the program Dr. Ajit Behera briefly spoke about the speakers Shri Abhishek Mandal, Executive Engineer, 4D India, Adroitee Information Systems Private Limited; Shri Arka Ghosh, PhD Scholar, Dept. of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, NIT, Rourkela and Shri Sanjib Bhattacharya, Executive Engineer, General Electric (GE), Metal 3D Printing Solution. The presentation was followed by a brief interactive discussion on the topic. This seminar dedicated on the young minds that to be engaged on the cutting edge technologies which is essential for our nation. The Chairman Er. S.K. Polaki presented a memento to the Chief Guest and to all the the speakers. In the end Dr. Ajit Behera proposed a vote of thanks. About 40 members and guests participated in the deliberation both online and offline.
